Last reply 30 July at I got very, very depressed despite not being depressed to begin with. Its hard to say though cause I take zoloft with it but it does seem to work. I didn't get on with it at all! I had a relapse like you too. I just posted a thread on how my bipolar is killing me as of lately, but I forgot to mention that my anxiety has been through the roof as well. It takes a long time for your brain to compensate for what the drugs were giving it, but the brain is a wonderful thing, it will adjust its structure to start releasing more serotonin because its not getting as much anymore.
This is an archived post. I have been on Lexapro Escitalopram for 4 years.
The increase in Lexapro for me went from 10 mg to 20 mg and then to 40 mg Hope some of this helps, OP. I have suffered from panic attacks on and off for almost 30 years.
I am sure we are all together tired to trying stuff to make us feel better. These are good meds, although after taking it for ayear i have massive weight gain and some sexual problems: I often felt mentally foggy. Last reply 24 September at I felt so numb, definitely not a life I wanted. Anxiety had been destroying my life and I really did feel like I got my life back. For me, it has basically limited my tendency to fixate and that has helped me immensely in avoiding the negative mind loop that I am prone to.
I've been in a stable relationship prior to going on them, so can't say for sure if that's had any effect got married about 2 years in though. Absolutely, without a doubt, it got me through the toughest time of my life when nothing else could help.
If I hit the right one everything is great, better than ever. Your dreams do change though, not the actual stuff you dream about dreams are always weird but it's how you remember them I have a very high metabolism and hardly ever gain weight and I eat pretty healthy and I still gained this much weight.
I'm on cymbalta now and weaning myself off of it to go back to citalopram. I much preferred it over Lexapro.
